This site asks you to trust its reasoning, so here is how that reasoning is produced. This page is the standard I hold myself to.
How topics are chosen
Every post begins with a real question, usually one I could not find a straight answer to. Topics are selected on editorial merit, not because they are commercially convenient.
Disclosure
If a piece is ever sponsored, produced in partnership, contains affiliate links, or is contributed by someone other than me, that will be stated plainly at the top of the page before you read it. You should never have to wonder whether what you are reading was paid for. Labelled commercial content is held to the same factual standard as everything else, and anything that cannot meet that standard does not run.
How claims are sourced
Factual claims link to a primary source wherever one exists: RBI and NPCI data, SEBI circulars, Income Tax Department documentation, company filings, or peer-reviewed research. Secondary reporting is used only when no primary source is available, and is identified as such. Where a number is an estimate or my own calculation, it is labelled.
What is off limits
- Predicting market direction or individual asset prices
- Naming specific investments as recommendations
- Presenting personal opinion as established fact
- Letting any commercial relationship change what an article concludes
Corrections
Errors get fixed, visibly. If a correction changes the substance of a piece, a dated note is added at the foot of the article explaining what was wrong and what changed. Silent edits are reserved for typos and broken links. If you spot a mistake, please report it. That is genuinely appreciated, not unwelcome.
Updates
Because tax rules and product terms change, older posts are revisited when the underlying facts move. Substantially revised articles carry an updated date.
Independence
Display advertising is served programmatically. I do not choose which ads appear or review them in advance, and ad revenue is not connected to any conclusion reached in an article. Editorial conclusions are not for sale. Where a commercial relationship exists, it is disclosed rather than hidden.
Who is accountable
Everything here is currently written and edited by one person, with no editorial board. If contributed pieces are ever published, they will carry their author’s name. See About.
